How to wear Snakeskin

Good Monday morning ladies:) Sorry this is going out a little late. I had some internet issues at my home so came into town to get a better signal. I hope you all had a wonderful, restful weekend and are ready to face this brand new week with joy and renewed strength. I have been taking my mom’s advice and truly resting on Sundays. I went with my husband to surprise him with a new bigger flat screen TV, dvd player and speakers for our 22nd wedding anniversary. It’s not until the 20th but Best Buy was having some amazing deals.

Today on the blog, I’m sharing how to wear snakeskin. It’s trending huge right now as we all know so just showing a few pics of how I choose to participate in this trend.

Recently, I went on a getaway with my husband to the Oregon coast. We hadn’t been able to go away just the 2 of us for over 6 years so this was so much fun, relaxing and romantic. I wanted to look cute yet needed to be comfy for the activities we had planned and warm enough to be in the brisk yet refreshing ocean air. I loved these shoes. They are only available in a size 11 so if that is your size I highly recommend. I am linking to some that are available is other sizes. I love these and these. I also think these booties as we are headed into fall are a great option. I like how the sandals come in wide width and the shaft of the booties doesn’t come up too high. This will allow you to have many pant or jean options to wear with them. The black detail on the booties will help elongate your legs and the color is very neutral so you could wear with both cool and warm colors.

I chose to pair them with this Style & Co. pink vertical striped tie top. It’s no longer available but I like this which comes in large and extra large and this which comes in small and medium from Old Navy. This is a pintucked v-neck top that is available in all sizes and comes in white, black and a pretty fall mustard that I think would look great with snakeskin.

These black ponte pants from Kohls are super soft, great quality and come in sizes 4 through 18. For size reference, I am a size 8 and 5’9. Sometimes in the curvy fit I am a size 6. These run TTS. They are also available in deep gray which would look perfect too with snakeskin. They are buy one get one half off right now. They come in a 31 inch inseam which is the perfect length for even us taller gals. You could put a small cuff in them to show a little ankle to slim the leg. If you’re shorter just cuff them a little more. I also love these Lauren Conrad ponte pants. They come in 3 amazing colors and are available in sizes xs through xxl. I love that these come in short, average and tall lengths. They are also buy one get one half off.

I feel these type of pants are also extremely flattering for your backside haha. For us pear shaped girls I’m excited to find pants like these:)

I chose to accessorize with some rosegold hoops. The pink from the rosegold was a good color next my face and brought out the pink of my shirt. I also love rosegold with snakeskin. I feel the colors are very complimentary.

Let us know how you incorporate snakeskin into your wardrobe?? We’d love to hear from you:)
