What I’m Wearing to a Fall Wedding!

Happy Friday everyone!! Sorry for the late post this morning. My internet has been in and out since last night. It drives me nuts ha ha. And, then I realized my husband still had my atm card so on my way into town to finish this post I ran out of gas and my step-dad came to my rescue. What a morning, but I’m back on track now and ready to face the day and so thankful it’s Friday!! Does anyone else ever face these crazy circumstances? Life is definitely a ride sometimes:)

This time of year love is in the air! Fall weddings are some of my favorite to attend. Of course, I’m partial because September is my anniversary month. My husband’s boss is getting married this month to the love of his life and I’m excited that my whole family has been invited. It’s sure to be a fun time. I tend to take the semi-formal approach when shopping for a wedding guest dress unless the invitation says black and white attire required. Even then I never want it to look like I’m part of the wedding entourage yet I still want to feel pretty and confident especially when going out with my husband.

I chose this Ralph Lauren cap sleeve wrap dress. It’s not available in the exact color I’m wearing but this pretty navy color is available in sizes 0 through 18 and comes in petite sizing too.

Wrap dresses are universally flattering and the length is what caught my attention in the store. I love figure hugging dresses while still being movable and not skin tight.

These d’orsay wedges in this pretty leopard print had just the right amount of edginess I love and since leopard is a neutral they were the perfect match. The heel is low and they are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. They have a padded footbed and the pointy toe helps to elongate your leg. Use code SAVENOW at checkout for extra savings.

The wedding is taking place in this pretty clubhouse in the countryside. I love that this dress and shoe combination are great if you’d like to go for a walk to take in the beauty of nature. The material has a stretch to it and I wore my shapewear underneath for a smooth appearance.

The cap sleeves have a few ruffles to make them girly and they fall in the most flattering way.

I love a wrap dress to give structure to your waistline. Paired with the knee length, I think it makes for a very hourglass silhouette.

If you are going to be attending a fall wedding, I would highly recommend this dress. If you’re tall, short, petite or plus size, this dress would look amazing on you:)

To keep the focus on my dress and shoes, I chose simple jewelry of gold tassle earrings and a gold bracelet. My exact earrings are sold out but I love these and these. I love a smoky eye for an evening or late afternoon wedding. I chose a blue smoky eye using these colors, Mary Kay candlelight shimmer, Mary Kay sand castle matte and Mary Kay navy matte. I paired them with this Mary Kay steely eyeliner. The cc cream I’m wearing is going to be part of my week 5 skincare series. It’s paraben and phthalate free with spf 15. I’m in love ha ha. It has just the right amount of coverage with enough moisturizing creaminess to keep our skin looking healthy and picture ready:) which is a big plus at weddings because many pictures will be taken. I always take advantage of getting some pics of my whole family during this time. They make great Christmas cards which is fast approaching. I love Thanksgiving though as I love to eat and am so thankful for all I’ve been given.

Speaking of being grateful, we here at Sizable Fashion are extremely thankful for all of you!! Have an amazing, restful weekend and if you are interested please enter your email below as we’d love for you to join our community here.

Date Night With My Man & Fall Makeup Trend Look

It’s Friday, yay for the weekend!! After a long and busy week, I love to spend some time with my husband to keep the magic alive. We live on a golf course and lake, so one of our favorite places to go is the club house. They have delicious food and gorgeous views of the lake from their outdoor patio area.

My husband loved this dress that I got from Amazon. It’s the Berydress women’s vintage v-neck sheath casual faux wrap dress. It comes in many colors. It is extremely soft and flattering. I think wrap dresses are universally flattering on all figure types. For size reference only, I am wearing the small, am 5’9 and usually a size 8:)

I love that the v-neck is modest so you will get a lot of use out of this dress. If you are going out for a night on the town you can adjust to show a little more ooh la la but if you are wanting to wear to church you may tie it a little higher for more coverage.

From this angle you can see that it creates an amazing waistline. I paired with my leopard wedges from Kohls.

Leopard Shoes

It’s also long enough so you can move and groove to whatever activities you have planned. It also makes your back side look good ha ha:) I also love to add a little sparkle to my hair on date nights.

Isn’t that sunset by the lake gorgeous. I just love the view up here. I kept my jewelry at a minimum to let the dress steal the show. I paired with a multi-tone watch, my simple stud earrings and my silver cross necklace.

You can see my jewelry better in this picture that my daughter took when we got back home. After all these years, he still makes me laugh everyday!

Makeup trends for fall 2019 include bringing the monochromatic looks not only to your outfits but to your makeup choices. I kept my lips, eyes and cheeks in the same berry family. Burgundy eyeliner and colored mascara is Hot Hot Hot this year. To incorporate this, I used this burgundy eyeliner from Sephora at JCPenney. It’s the Sephora brand in the waterproof matte collection. This stuff stays put. No smears or mess. It’s wonderful. I paired it with the brand new dark burgundy mascara by L’oreal. It’s a fun way to participate in this trend without being over the top.

Well, here’s to a happy and fun weekend. Whether it is going out with your husband, friends, taking the kids to the park or just lounging around the house with a Netflix binge, I hope it’s enjoyable.
